Technet's Mission
New Mexico Technet's mission is focused
on the promotion of economic growth and the
support of education through the innovative use of
technology based applications, provided by New Mexico
Technet or through joint venture initiatives.

About Technet
New Mexico Technet was created in 1984
as a private non-profit organization charged with
developing and operating data communications net-
works designed to facilitate the transfer of information
among government, educational institutions, and business.

Educational Programs
New Mexico Technet's commitment to
education is shown through programs like its
telehealth initiatives and focus on education of
health professionals who can effectively work in rural parts
the state using advanced technology.

Telehealth Initiatives
Technet's telehealth Initiatives work
tirelessly to promote access to quality medical
care in rural and underserved areas of New Mexico
through partnerships and government and foundational
grants that will benefit all New Mexico citizens.

Rural Initiatives
New Mexico Technet remains committed to the deploy-
ment and use of technology based applications
in rural New Mexico as a means to help
build a strong telehealth network
for the state.

Economic Development
Contributing to the growth of New Mexico's rural areas is
a major cornerstone of Technet's mission. Technet
helps organizations and companies by providing
more cost effective access to information
through technology.

Special Programs
New Mexico Technet is actively involved in a large number
of rural telehealth, and educational programs.

other non-profit organizations, state
and federal govts, and businesses.
