This database contains bankruptcy court case dockets from 1988 to the present.

This database contains the Local Bankruptcy Rules for the District of New Mexico.

Clerk's Practice and Procedure Guide
This downloadable guide contains two documents; Clerk's Practice and Procedure Guide and Local Bankruptcy Rules - District of New Mexico. These documents are in WordPerfect Version 6.x format.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Dockets

This database contains bankruptcy court dockets for cases involving individuals and corporations in the New Mexico District. The dockets include cases heard by the bankruptcy court since 1988.

The SEARCHmate formatted fields are:

   CAse_number                  The case number.
   DEBTOR_Name                  Name of the person filing bankruptcy.
   DEBTOR_Ssn                   SSN of the debtor.
   JOint_ssn 
   Address                      Debtor's street address.
   CIty                         Debtor's city of residence.
   STATE                        Debtor's state of residence.
   Zip                          Debtor's zip code.
   COUnty                       Debtor's county of residence.
   TYpe                         Type of filing: INDIVIDUAL, JOINT,
                                                CORPORATION, etc.
   DEB_attorney                 Name of debtor's attorney.
   TRustee                      Name of the appointed trustee.
   341_meeting (MMM DD, YYYY)   Date of the 341 meeting.
   Num_of_claims                Number of claims filed by creditors
                                   against the debtor.
   COMplaint (MMM DD, YYYY)     Date a complaint is filed against the
                                   bankruptcy proceedings.
   CHapter                      Bankruptcy chapter.
   Filing (MMM DD, YYYY)        Original filing date.
   JUdge                        Name of the presiding Judge.
   CLosing (MMM DD, YYYY)       Closing date of the proceeding.
   STATUS                       Status, i.e., chapter number, assets,
                                dismissed, closed, etc.
   STATUS_date (MMM DD, YYYY)   Date the status was changed.

For formatted field searches:

Type "CA <> DFSJ" [Enter] (where DFSJ is a nonsense word). This will retrieve every docket in the database.

Type "DEBTOR_N HAS Name" [Enter](where Name is the first or last name or partial name of the person you want).

EXAMPLES: Type: "DEBTOR_N HAS THOMPSON" [Enter]
to retrieve all dockets where the debtor name has Thompson.

Type: "DEBTOR_N HAS 'ROBERT THOMPSON'" [Enter]
to retrieve all dockets where the debtor name has Robert Thompson.

NOTE: This example will not retrieve cases involving Robert L. Thompson.

The examples above can be used for Address, CIty, STATE, COUnty, JUdge, Author, DEB_attorney and TRustee.

The following example will retrieve (a) all Chapter 11 filings in (b) Sandoval County in (c) 1989:
(a) Type: "CH = 11" [Enter]
(b) Type: "AND COU HAS SANDOVAL" [Enter]
(c) Type: "AND F BT 'JAN 01, 1989' 'JAN 01, 1990'" [Enter]

      Possession; Copies of Operating Reports
  13. Chapter 12 and 13 Confirmation Hearings
  14. Courtroom and Courthouse Decorum

The SEARCHmate formatted fields are:

   Id                           Rule ID number.
   Title                        Title of the rule.
   Number                       Rule Number: "LBR #"   Change_date (YYYY/MM/DD)     Date of the revision.

For formatted field searches:

Type "I <> DFSJ" [Enter] (where DFSJ is a nonsense word). This will retrieve every chapter in the database.

Type "N = 'LBR #'" [Enter] (where # is any rule number or chapter number).

EXAMPLES: Type: "N = 'LBR 9'" [Enter]
to retrieve 9. Motion Practice and all subordinate sections, i.e. 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, etc.

Type: "N = 'LBR 9.2'" [Enter]
to retrieve 9.2 CONCURRENCE OF AFFECTED PARTY only.

Clerk's Practice and Procedure Guide

The Guide's purposes are . . .

. . . to serve as a reference for practitioners where they can find standard forms and guidance concerning the court's preferred practices and procedures;

. . . to set forth the clerk's determinations, pursuant to LBR 4.1, concerning the form and number of copies of petitions, lists, schedules, statements, pleadings, exhibits and other papers to be filed and the manner of their assembly and disposition; and

. . . to simplify bankruptcy court practice by encouraging greater uniformity of practice and the forms of standard pleadings.
