This is the first of 4 files in this section.
The Bernalillo County Metro Court database contains civil case records, background checks, court dockets, hearing dates, dispositions and much more that date back to 1984. However, if a case of this type is re-opened, the docket may date past 1984. Records contain information about the parties involved, dockets, dispositions and events/issues of the case.
NOTE: Bernalillo County Metro Court database is a Premium Service. When you connect to this service, you incur an additional per minute charge from Technet.

From any Metro Court screen, press [Ctrl]C. Your Telnet session should close automatically; if not, close it manually. See Exiting Remote Applications for more detail.
The computer at the Bernalillo County Court House in Albuquerque is different from other Technet systems. The keys used are unique to it. The table below shows you the keys you should use when in Metro Court:
KEY NAME FUNCTION
[F2] Exit current screen Exits the current screen and
returns to the previous screen.
[Ctrl]-E Erase Input Erase field where the cursor is
positioned.
[Backspace] Backspace Moves the cursor to the left one
or character at a time. THIS DOES
[Lt] Left Arrow NOT ERASE. Use [Ctrl]-E to
erase the field.
[Ctrl]-R Error Reset Resets the screen if there is an
error. THE SCREEN MUST BE RESET
BEFORE YOU CAN CONTINUE.
[Ctrl]-W Screen Refresh May be necessary if a system
information message appears.
NOTE: There are other special Metro Court command tables located throughout this section that
are specific to the Metro Court function you are using.
Some of the keys you use in Metro Court are reversed from their normal functions. The table below shows which keys have swapped functions:

Agency Abbreviations, Charge Types, Judge Codes, Pleas, etc. are available. These descriptions are very helpful in interpreting the codes that you see when viewing Metro Court information:
This feature allows you to download a summary of Metro Court activities. These summary files are available on a weekly basis. The file name indicates the week included in the file, e.g., (970228.EXE): February 28, 1997 contains a summary of Metro Court activities covering the week ending February 28, 1997.
Netscape: Click on the file name. You may then browse to a location to save. The file will be downloaded. You must then run it (see File Format).
Internet Explorer: Click on the file name. Pick the Save to disk option, browse to where you want to save it, and then run the file separately. (see File Format).
File Format
In order to save time downloading these files, they are stored as self-extracting (*.exe) compressed files. Before viewing any of these files, you must first uncompress them by executing the self-extracting program. This is done by typing Filename then [Enter].
EXAMPLE: To use 9555.EXE, type: "9555"[Enter]. This uncompresses 9555.EXE into
two files, FILINGS and DOCKET.
