The Uniform Commercial Codes (UCC) is a uniform law drafted by the National Conference of
Commissioners on uniform state laws governing commercial transactions (sales of goods,
commercial paper, bank deposits and collections, letters of credit, bulk transfers, warehouse
receipts, bills of lading, investment securities and secured transactions). A UCC filing restricts an
individual or company from using property filed as collateral for another loan or line of credit.
Through an agreement between New Mexico Technet and the office of the New Mexico
Secretary of State, these filings are available for on-line lookup and fax delivery of requested
documents.
NOTE: Uniform Commercial Codes is a Premium Service. When you connect to this service,
you incur an additional per minute charge from Technet. Additionally, you incur a charge for
each page of the documents you request to be faxed.

This means your document requests are faxed to New Mexico Technet. When Technet receives
your fax, it is mailed to you via First Class mail through the U.S. Postal Service by the
conclusion of the next working day after receiving the fax.
NOTE: You cannot cancel fax requests. This is the decision of the Secretary of the State's
office.

File Numbers: The quickest way to find what you want is to search by file number. File numbers
indicate the original filing date. The last three numbers show the file sequence for that date.
EXAMPLE: File number 8742914 is interpreted as follows:

This record was filed on April 29, 1987. 14 indicates that it is the 14th filing for that date.

Searches by Debtor, Secured Party and Assignee are performed exactly the same way.
| From the "UCC"
SEARCH MENU, type the number for the type of search you want to perform (2, 3 or 4) then
press [Enter]. Type the Debtor, Secured_party or Assignee according to your menu
selection, and press [Enter]. You are asked:
Include LAPSED and TERMINATED filings in results? (Y/N)
Press N then [Enter] to exclude filings that have expired or have been terminated. This
reduces the size of the list.
The search is performed.
